The restaurant's decor captivates, offering a feast for the eyes as much as the food does for the palate. Highlighting the menu are signature dishes that take center stage. For starters, the Rhode Island Calamari tossed with cherry peppers and complemented by a banana pepper remoulade consistently receives praise from diners, and at just $17, it’s a deliciously affordable indulgence. The Seared Pineapple Hoisin-Glazed Pork Belly stands out, marrying flavors beautifully for a dish that’s as pleasing to the eye as it is to the palate.
The main attraction, however, is undoubtedly the steaks. The addition of accompaniments like fingerling potatoes and green beans adds a delightful balance to the meal, ensuring every bite is a harmonious blend of flavors and textures.
The seafood offerings are equally impressive, featuring the likes of stuffed lobster topped with shrimp and mussels prepared in both New England white style and rustic marinara, each dish crafted to perfection, bursting with freshness and flavor. As customers have pointed out, the clam chowder is another must-try, creamy and rich, epitomizing New England's culinary heritage.
Beyond the food, the restaurant fosters a welcoming atmosphere where every detail is attended to, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction. “ We went to 71 West for dinner and had a great time. The server was attentive and frequently checked on us. My boyfriend has a gluten allergy so we were offered gluten free bread to start. The bread was fine, my bf liked it which is what mattered. We started with truffle fries which were INCREDIBLE, absolutely a must try. We both got their tomahawk steak and it was cooked perfect and delicious. The fingerling potatoes it came with were a little overdone but was fine, the greenbeans still had a nice snap to them. We've only been in the winter, but the inside atmosphere is really nice and you can see out into the harbor. We will definitely go back (especially for the truffle fries) and look forward to it! ”
“ We had an amazing dining experience at 71 West in Plymouth. Everything from start to finish was exceptional. The filet mignon was perfectly cooked and incredibly tender, the mushroom cream chicken over risotto was rich and flavorful, and the stuffed lobster topped with shrimp was a total showstopper. The mussels were fresh and well-seasoned, and the clam chowder was creamy and packed with flavor. The atmosphere is upscale but comfortable, with gorgeous waterfront views that add to the experience. Service was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. Whether you’re local or visiting the area, this is a must-visit spot for an unforgettable meal. We’ll definitely be back soon! ”
“ I had the pleasure of working with Kristi at 71 West and hosted my daughter bridal shower at this beautiful restaurant. The decor is fabulous, food delicious and service A! So many compliments from our guests on the location, the wonderful view, excellent service and friendly staff. Thank you Kristi and team for all of your great efforts and helping to make my daughter’s day so special. Five stars is simply not enough!! ”
“ We rented out the private dining room for our small and intimate wedding dinner with our family this past weekend. It was perfect! The food was all delicious. Several family members reached out afterwards to say how amazing their meals were. Alicia was our server and she was phenomenal! Can’t rave enough about her service. She was very attentive to not just myself and my husband but to the rest of our family. She made sure everything was smooth sailing and that we had a great time. Thank you Alicia!! We will be coming back, that’s for sure! ”
“ Spacious elegance with views to die for, and impeccable service, a family favorite. This seaside steakhouse has filet mignon options sized to your appetite, and of course, an ample selection of fresh, quality seafood, as well as lamb, chicken, delicious appetizers, salads and seasonal options. Wine and creative cocktails round out the meal. But save room for their fantastic, colossal desserts! You will never be disappointed with the food here, or at any of their other wonderful restaurants on the South Shore. My sister is a professional chef, and she loves all their restaurants as well. Although we go to Precinct 10 in Weymouth and Bay Pointe Waterfront Restaurant in Quincy more often, 71 West Atlantic Steakhouse in Plymouth is the perfect spot for family from the cape and family from the South Shore to meet for a special occasions. “ 71 Degrees West is a perfect new addition to downtown Plymouth. Whether if you're sitting outside on the rooftop deck or dining inside, the views of Plymouth Harbor are spectacular! Special shout out to all the bartenders. Always take their suggestions and recommendations, they know exactly what they're talking about. The seasonal drink "Hot Honey on the Town" with Ghost Tequila is one of the best spices drinks I've ever had! If you're looking for a good sushi pick, you have to get Mayflower roll ”
“ Top notch place to enjoy a fantastic dining experience! Kate behind the bar is fabulous!! Food, service, and atmosphere is the best! Above and beyond food and service! Their wet aged beef offers no waste unlike dry aged. I've found my beef selections outstanding!! My only gripe would be getting in. They don't offer reservations but they offer call ahead which I've had no luck with. But if you can you get in you'll love it!! And they now have a rooftop deck! ”
“ Our 1st visit to 71 Degree West Atlantic Steakhouse since they opened a few months ago. We went for lunch on a beautiful sunny Saturday. We arrived at 1:30PM, no waiting in line, were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and we had a wonderful server named Kimberly. The food was excellent and beautifully presented. Nobody rushed us and we enjoyed a leisurely meal. We will definitely return and try their dinner offerings. They have a private dining room for 20, which requires a reservation fee of 250, it has large picture windows overlooking Plymouth Harbor. ”
